My New Toys ^_^

Actually i got my laptop on the same day as the Ipaq in my previous entry. But i just need a better camera to take pics and thanks to my colleague, i have and it will be displayed in a few more lines. With the money from the Ipaq sale, i could get a better phone in the form of a Motorola V3xx (a HSPDA phone, much better than that Ipaq which has EDGE and WiFi). Despite the fact that i don't really like flip phones but what to do, its what i can afford and have what i want, so that's why i got it.

On with pictures then :

The top look of my new lappie

Trying to install new softwares on it

The keyboard and a very strange touch pad

My new phone, Motorola V3xx

With the flip open

The back of the phone with its metallic look

Not the best camera phone around but at least an upgrade from my previous

The outer LCD, which displays the inner LCD contents, only smaller

Now i really know how these numpads feel like

A close up look at its 3G capabilities, too bad my office are does not support HSPDA but suprisingly my residential are has it and is represented with a purple H icon replacing the 3G icon

I did give HSPDA a try last night, guess what? While loading a page i think it went on all 4 types of connections just to load a simple page :x At first HSPDA then dropped to 3G then EDGE then lastly back to the old GPRS and finally i think i fell asleep waiting for the page to load XD.

I hope this would not happen when i start to configure my wireless connection with this phone.

Goodbye to my new HP IPAQ 512 Voice Messenger

Today is exactly 8 days i received my HP Ipaq + Notebook from the Digi Promotion (Package Awesome with Voice). Though i have eagerly anticipated the arrival of my new toys but i was also sad to find out that to use the phone is like its language set to French.

As a matter of fact, it was so damn to send even 1 SMS that i gave up the instant it sent my SMS with 2 words to the intended recipient. What a bummer!

The supposed EDGE coverage at my residential are was quite lame, im only getting dialup (56kbps) speeds where as i was supposed to get speeds of 384kbps. Well for someone who have not gone online for more than 1 year at home, i suppose that is really an acceptable speed.

Anyhows to commemorate its departure, i will post up all the pictures i have taken to post it for sale. Got a lousy price for it but its better than nothing i suppose.

The data cable cum charger cable (USB chargeable and the plug actually have a USB port)

"The Computer is Personal Again"

Goodbye, and thanks to you, i have now funds to finance a better phone, im looking at Motorola's V3xx. This baby has got HSPDA (3.5G), so when i have credits to spend on my Hotlink, i might just burn it on 3G or HSPDA speeds.

Working life also need to sit for tests =_="

In my final semester of my degree, i vouched to myself that i do not want to study anymore after i got my degree. So here i am 4 years down the road, and believe it or not i had to sit for an exam well more like a test and im supposed to read a book about 3/4 quarter the size of your average big ring file in 1 week.

With my heavy workload and 'ample' time, i just managed to flip through about 2/5 of the book and sat for the test. Luckily, its more like an open book test but for those who have sat through open book tests will know that if you did not study and its an open book test, you will waste most of your time flipping through useless garbage that won't help you answer the questions. Then come the next best thing, i can use Google, thank God! But sad news is internet connection is slow, great .......... what a time to face these kinda shit when the shit level is already at neck level.

With Google i think i managed to get answers for half of the questions and hopefully i passed. The test is just to evaluate our understanding of the new programming language that we will be using in our current major project. Well, i prefer to learn things as they come not by reading some book and you expect me to be an overnight (i had a week but just managed to squeeze in 1 night :p ) expert.

I really do hate studying for tests/exams!

Transformers The Movie =_=

This has to be hottest topic, it can be found almost everywhere, they rave about it, heaped praises on it, gets some of the greatest reviews and etc etc etc but strangely for me, as i have said when it was first made known to the world that this cartoon will also be made into a movie, i have rejected it to be a good movie (well most of the time im right).

Despite disagreements with almost everyone i know, i still say that im right. Im not sure what is Michael Bay's take on Optimus Prime but he is really one hell of big LAME-O! He is not a leader at all! I was like shaking my head in disbelief that Bay have turned this 'super' hero into such a wuss.

OK, so you all say that this is just a movie and the original stuff should be canned, this is the same with all other cartoon/comic turned into movies. But come on, somethings are NOT meant to be changed. You claim to have creative ideas about the characters but they turn out to be complete opposites? What kind of an achievement would you claim that to be?

Sigh, luckily i did not waste my money to watch this movie in the cinema, i might feel dejected like how it happened with Spidey 3, another failure with so many illogical events happening in the plots. Talking about plots and story development, this movie also lacks that somewhat. If they wanna mention that the cube have inscription from several cultures, then at least show that they have done the research to try to decipher what it may mean.

Argh, what's been done is done, no use ranting about it. Another disappointment, and i still don't get what's the excitement and huuhah about this crap!

The closest thing they tried to inherit was, "Autobots! Roll Out!". It would have been much better to sometimes use, "Autobots! Transform!". There is nothing much "more than meets the eye". =_=

Something is MORE wrong o_0"

In addition to what i have reported earlier with myself. I have now added even more symptoms. It really feels like im dying for the company but unnoticed.

My left shoulder up to my neck is very sore and aching. Seen the doctor and given some infra red treatment + medication but it seems that its not going away so easily. Most likely i will have to get myself some of them stickers and/or Yoko-yoko for pain relief. Sigh really feels like old age symptoms.

Im really getting pissed off to be dreaming every night. It used to be a pleasure because it does not happen so frequent and most of the times are good dreams. Now, any dreams are just depriving me of a good night's sleep. Im looking more and more like a panda now, China please protect me!!!

Talking about aches, my back is killing me now. To make matters worse later today i have test. After so many years away from studies, i had to flip through a thick book to prepare myself somewhat for the ensuing test. Though its a 1 hour thingy but it does more or less determines my immediate future within the project.

I feel a bit like John McClane now, where the hell is a fucking painkiller when you need one! Well i have painkillers but what i really need is a break, i need a holiday but i can't coz i have relieved my colleague to enjoy his Bali trip. Hopefully next week i can get some MUCH needed time off.
