Some thinking over the weekend ...

On Saturday while driving to return some goods, there was a program that was doing an interview on a supposed local rising star. She was asked a question regarding relationship. So the famous saying came up, "Why give up an entire forest for a tree?" or if you are a person looking from the other side of the mirror, "When would the correct tree be found or show up?"

The first saying i have heard about it alot but the second one, i have not heard before. That got a ball rolling in my mind.

When is the correct time?
There is actually never a fixed age, well maybe with the exception of M-s whereby its somewhere around 27. Modern people would tend to be more guided by their monetary plan, how much to have before they tie the knot. Must have at least a home, car and 50k cash etc etc etc. If you followed your heart, it might have been when you are just 17/18 years old?

Where is the balance? Usually associated with another saying, "Ride a cow to find a horse"
It is almost impossible to find a perfect someone. The most is that you may find someone similar to your dream guy/girl either physically or traits, rarely both. So, let's say you found someone who is 70% of what you consider as a perfect match, is that good enough? 3-4 years into the relationship you found someone who is 80% match, what would you do? And then a 90%? The thing with this issue is that when would this person come along and what are the chances of you meeting this person? Even so, would you be that person's dream match?

So if you have decided to Nike, would you really not consider/think the above? Decisions, decisions ...

Not so related song,

Malaysia XI vs Manchester United!

Exactly 1 month to the day, i would be another year older. So i suppose you can call this a present i bought for myself. Another intention of me "wasting" RM98 is to watch Paul Scholes live in action before he retires. There is a very big possibility that he will be doing so next year :( So in a way, this could be my last chance to see him play.

A follow up from yesterday made me realize that i must get a better camera because my camera will take pixelized pictures @ 12x zoom so i went around asking my friends if i could borrow a DSLR which would supposedly take better pics and thankfully there was a very willing friend :D Partly because i have to chase a another friend to return it to him XD i got it nonetheless although i had to sleep much later than usual to wait for him to send it over. It was worth the wait as i got these :

Oh yeah
Warming up before the match
More players warming up
Everyone is on to warm up
VDS doing his own type of warm up
Rooney kicking the ball around :p
Evra doing some unusual juggling with his butt XD
First 11 who is going to start the match
Name list of the players for the match
About to start the match
First chance
Nani showing what he can do
Rooney's backheel trick
Goal! Rooney scores
VDS getting some action as well
Scholes like he always does, pulling strings from midfield
Nani makes the score 2-0
Another effort just 1-2 feet wide :(
Half time score 2-1, blunder by VDS to be caught in no man's land and got chipped by Amri Yahyah
Scholes on the attack
Rooney tried his own chip but just missed the target :(
First substitution of 4 players
Second sub with the crowd favourite Ryan Giggs
The timeless Giggs passing the ball like a maestro
Owen scored and is congratulated by teammates, score on his debut =D
End of the match :(
Full time score 2-3
The players appreciating the crowd after receiving their medal
Evra heading towards the crowd to give away his shirt, i was unfortunately seated too far away T_T
A mob wanting to go home but restricted by the gates at the LRT station and have to wait for their turn
I sat on the opposite platform to go for a ride before the train heads back to this platform to pick up the rest of the mob :p

This is just in =_="

Char tho ar!!! Anyways, it was really an out-of-this-world experience. I got to see Paul Scholes in action albeit not in his best form for this match as he gave away possession for at least 3 times :( Anyways, this is a great gift despite the price, which is actually the price of a training shirt and 3 times the price of a cap, both of which i got from my previous birthdays. Won't be getting anymore of them in the future i suppose ...

Happy birthday to me
Happy birthday to me
Happy birthday to me ...
Happy birthday to me

I saw Paul Scholes in person! <3

Although you can call me avid fan of Man Utd but this is the first time i have actually bought tickets to go and watch their match. They have visited Malaysia several times but i did not go watch them due to financial reasons. This time its a bit different, although again i don't really the money BUT i must see for myself Paul Scholes in person before he retires, so when my friend asked me if i wanted to go watch, although hesitantly, i agreed to part with RM98 :p

I got these :

RM98 = 1 cardboard, 1 landyard and 1 piece of paper with some stickers on the wrong side.

Up close of the paper shows an entry ticket :p

While the cardboard is the ticket to enter the training session :p

I went for the training session and although i still had some unfinished work, i had to leave office almost on time and headed to the Bukit Jalil stadium. From the LRT station near my office, there were already several fans on board heading the same direction i was. More and more came on as we go by the stops. There was a distinct group from Penang, i reckon due to their Hokkien slang as they chatted away while the train speeds off nearer and nearer to our destination.

The crowd at the outside of the stadium was crazy, a red tide of fans all walking towards the entrance. All the merchandise booth were flooded with mobs of enthusiatic fans snatching up items. I wanted to have a look but the scheduled training time was about to start so i decided otherwise. From the entrance gates, cheers could be heard, luckily for me it was just some local players training in the field instead of Man Utd.

I hastily made my way in as the cheers got louder and louder fearing that i was late. I had 2 goals, 1 to check out the place where we may be seated the next day and to finally get a chance to catch a glimpse of Paul Scholes in action. Since i was alone, i could easily choose empty seats which were quite rare and i was about the 15th row on tier 2 :(

I sat on the second tier purple area to watch the training :(

My not so powderful camera helped me get a closer view of the players as they made their way out onto the field to train and kick a few balls around.

A very uncharacter Paul Scholes entering the field first and wearing the most prevalent shirt
From left : Rooney, Giggs, Neville, Owen, Nani, Fletcher, O'Shea, Scholes, Tosic, Brown, Berbatov, Fabio and lastly Sir Alex in black
Anderson thinking he is some kind of superstar entering last

See you guys tomorrow!

Though i was damn tired from rushing there right after work and 2 consecutive night of overtime before today, it was a great way to start the weekend to see Paul Scholes and Manchester United in Malaysia!
